China is expected to have a total new energy storage capacity of more than 50 gigawatts (GW) by 2025, according to a report released last week, as the country expects energy storage to boost renewable energy.

China's installed new-type energy storage capacity had reached 44.44 gigawatts by of the end of June, expanding 40 percent compared with the end of last year, the National Energy Administration (NEA) said on.
