What is a boiler & how does it work?

These boilers are the heat source for the heating system. That heat is transferred into the circulating water of the heating system which is then pushed out and around the building. There are two terms you’ll come across in these sorts of systems, primary and secondary circuits.

The boiler is secured in place, ensuring it is correctly levelled and in the appropriate location for the power supply and plumbing connections. Plumbing connections for electric boilers typically involve a simple cold input and hot output for system boilers, with additional connections for domestic hot water in combi boilers.
